The Killerspin Jet 600 is yet another fabulous competition grade table tennis paddle that targets the intermediate to advanced level players and also this paddle is approved by ITTF so you can actually be used in the tournament-level play too.

Verdict

The high-spin rubber and a sponge which allows for good control and the ball placement make this paddle ideal for the intermediate and advanced players who really like to enjoy their ping pong game away from the table with the high-spin shots but also have a finesse game.

Overall, the Jet 600 provides a great level of control therefore, it is also a good paddle for beginner players who want to step up to a high-performance paddle since the increased control makes the transition much easier.

Features

The first thing you’ll feel holding the Killerspin Jet 600 in your hand is the weight. The paddle is quite heavier than most of the other rackets.

It weighs a whopping 175 grams. For most of the players, the heavyweight of the paddle might feel uncomfortable at first and will take time to get used to it.

The Killerspin Jet 600 is capable of providing you with a good amount of spin as it is equipped with the ITTF Approved Nitrx-4Z Rubber.

Furthermore, the Jet 600 is made up of 5 layers of all wood and this feature lies in the main body of the paddle.

The wood is surrounded by the 2mm sponge with the Niitrx-4Z rubber and this combination lets you hit the ball hard.

It comes with a flair that is 3.78 inches long and feels very nice with this paddle. Again, these elements come together in order to provide a player with power, speed, solid spin, and the stable control.

The Killerspin Jet 600 is 6mm thick which flares at the bottom and it has been designed this way for solid control.

However, the Killerspin Jet 600 is slightly smaller and it may not be a good choice for the ping pong player with large hands because it can be hard for them to keep hold of it.

Other than this, the rubber on this paddle has high tension which results in the increased power of the ping pong paddle causing the ball to really ping off and improve the speed.

Usage

When we tested out the Killerspin Jet 600, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We have to say that this paddle is really outstanding and was incredibly well balanced throughout the game session.

The ratings seem to be accurate at first for us, but it didn’t really excel in any single rating of the spin, speed or the control but definitely a very comfortable ping pong paddle to play with.

Keeping this in mind, this paddle is a good option for advanced beginners or intermediate players.

Moreover, you really need to practice playing with this paddle to get used to the heavyweight of the paddle, other than that, the paddle is really easy to play with. It stays well balanced, gives you good speeds, and a fairly good amount of spin.

It’s a great bonus that the Killerspin Jet 600 comes in a good-looking gift box and they make great presents for all the table tennis players but the box can also be used at the ping pong paddle case when you’re not using it.

This really prevents the paddle from being damaged accidentally and lasts longer.

But of course, you can go for one of the ping pong paddle cases reviewed by our team.

Generally not all ping pong paddles come with a warranty but the Killerspin Jet 600 does come with a 30-day warranty and we hoped it to be long enough but you should really take a look at your paddle for any manufacturing defects and sort it out before the warranty period ends.

About the Brand

Since this brand looks unfamiliar to many of them, we may need to introduce them to you. Killerspin is an American ping pong brand that was founded way back in 2001 by Robert Blackwell Jr.

Since 2001, they have developed a lot of reputation as a quality and luxury ping pong company producing, paddles, clothing, tables, and accessories that are popular enough in the market.

Cost

The Killerspin Jet 600 is although not the best performance paddle out there but still, the sponge and the high-quality rubber used in the design of this paddle give it a premium look and make it perform well.

Even though they used 5 plies of all wood to cut down the cost, the Killerspin Jet 600 still doesn’t come at a lower price. Price is therefore also considered as a disadvantage for this paddle.

Conclusion

The Jet 600 is clearly meant for the players who are looking to improve the speed of their game, shorts, and to have good control.

The paddle doesn’t have the aggressive attacking feature but produces enough power to get you in the game.

Overall, the paddle provides only a reasonable amount of spin control and is still a good choice for the beginner to the world of ping pong.

It is also fairly expensive compared to the other ping pong paddles but the control, speed, and spin with appealing looks fulfill your decision of getting this paddle.

Moreover, the gift box which it comes in makes up for the price as well.
