The Hathaway Boardwalk Skee-Ball Table is another beautiful table that has a timelessly elegant retro design. You will fall in love with it at first sight; the minimalist white pattern on the natural wood color of the butcher block looks effortlessly graceful. The curved body of the table reminds you of old bars and country fairs. Perhaps the one thing that mars this beautiful table is the net cage; made from stitched net, it is sturdy, but it does not look good. In this price point, I think Hathaway could have given us a metal cage. Despite that, this table would look good in any room.
Don’t let the table’s retro looks fool you; it is equipped with all modern equipment like built-in LED lights, arcade-style sounds, digital scorer, and automatic ball return. With the Boardwalk, you will enjoy the best of both worlds. This table will give you the experience of retro Skee-Ball Machines and the convenience of modern equipment.
While the table looks amazing, there are a few problems. First of all, users claim that the table is quite noisy. The balls make a lot of noise when they are thrown on the playing surface because the surface is made of melamine. Secondly, the target holes are a little small. They should have been at least ½ inch bigger for the perfect size. Thirdly, the quality of the plastic is pretty low; in this price point, Hathaway could have used ABS or better material.

Let’s start with the table’s appearance; a polished wood-grain ramp with a deep timber finish gives the table a unique look. The table is at once modern and an homage to vintage Skee-Ball machines.
The combination of different shades of brown, black, and neon from brightly lit LED lights make this table look elegant and attractive at the same time. I actually really like the look of this table. I am doubly impressed because commonly low-priced gaming tables don’t look this good!
